Amazing things happen when you disconnect yourself from the screened life (constantly looking at screens between the phone, computer & tv)!! I am writing this post this very moment and not any earlier and it will be shorter. Reason being I was exhausted at work today, yes I still have the Mondays, so when I got home I decided to take a nap. That was 6:30 pm and here I am waking up. What saved me is that my phone was dead and I didn't even know it. Sometimes a text coming through or the anticipation of a ring/beep/vibration is distraction enough to keep from focusing on sleep. Admittedly, some of the best sleep has been when I deliberately switched my phone off. I haven't taken a nap in a while and I certainly haven't taken one this long. It was AAAHHH-mazing!!!
Even if it's not for a nap, do take some time off from the screened life by taking a walk or going out and leaving your phone behind or switching it off. Just once in a while if nothing else.
