dusting off the keyboard

It has been a while. Once again. Hello everyone :)

The last month and some change has had THE most going on and I guess fittingly things slowed down and are becoming very focused right after labor day. Summer es finito y onto time better spent and managed. It's really weird that in the last several weeks I actually have not even opened my personal laptop. I have been operating, as far as my connectedness to the internet and what's going on around the world, through my phone/ipad and then mostly my work computer for work. It really actually just feels really good to be typing on these here keys. They haven't stiffened or loosened. My fingers of course still know where the letters fall and hasn't mistyped on the number pad to the right of the QWERTY. I'm re-appreciating the size of the screen here. There is so much that has happened ergo so much to write about. Seriously, a lot of serious and grave situations in basically every corner of this round world including in our backyard with #Ferguson and the killing of Michael Brown. That last bit is sooo heavy and really represents what America is and has always been, but we're not going there quite yet. My blood pressure I'm sure went up during those days and I felt myself getting anxious every time I thought about and reacted or engaged in casual conversations about race with black or white people whether we agreed or not....it's already happening now because I know I'm not even ready to write about it.

Basically, I'm back and I realized that writing is my free therapy of sorts so "Hi my name is afropolitaine and I've got a lot on my mind".
