Today was one of those days that makes sure you know that the summer is OVER. Yes we are well past labor day and well into October now, but for the most part, thanks to global warming, it has been quite nice since. Until this week where it has rained for almost 3 days straight and forecasted for another 3. The heater is on now, sweaters are being layered under the blazers and no toes out.
Join me as I reminisce on a day I spent with family at the waterfront in south west DC...and since it's Thursday this might be a throwback to the Capitol pre-government SHUTDOWN

newlywed aunt and grandfather :)
YES to the raw bar and fresh oysters :P
some cooked food options too
the shops are all floating on water and we the customers are on land.
I love all four corners of this city and they all have something unique to offer from each other and within themselves. South west, as seen in this picture, has a mix of people buying, selling and just hanging out, but admittedly this too is changing into something that is yet to be seen with the ongoing gentrification. Watch this space and go to these places!
