I love the results of shopping, but the activity itself not so much. So what is one to do when Christmas comes around?! AND everything about the season points you in the direction of a store?! AND every single store has big red signs for "biggest reductions EVER"?! AND your inbox is filled with twice daily emails from your favorite store online?! AND Christmas Day is tomorrow and you haven't bought a single gift for anyone, especially your baby cousins who you adore to pieces and the older little cousins who are not so little anymore and it scares you how grown they are and they irritate you and you love them so much still?!
I took my behind to the store a couple of hours ago and the stores were full! I'm glad I got there a little earlier than lunch time so it's not as bad as it will be later on when the REAL procrastinators come out for their final hauls. I'm pretty happy with the finds I got for my peoples and I'm pretty sure they will love them. I didn't break the bank either thanks to those big red signs :)
So it's looking like we just might have a white christmas after all. It started snowing as I was leaving one of the stores to go to another :/ That's exciting, but not, at the same time. Snow is pretty, but its messy too :/
Got my hurr did yesterday so in the space of a week I went from:
A lot of change I know, but in my excitement for how long my hair has grown (a whopping almost 6 inches since the beginning of this year), i didn't want to delude myself with the work it takes to maintain cotton candy softness in this harsh weather. The weave is a fun change and protective style while my locs remain undisturbed underneath :) You wait til I whip it out in the spring!
I am most looking forward to eating, praying and loving with the people I love that are around for Christmas! I'm not going home and my mom is not coming so that's a little sad, but I know I can't have it my way all the time :/
