I just discovered a noteworthy AFROPOLITAN and listened to his radio show on Oprah Winfrey's website. His name is DERRICK ASHONG and his show is "The Derrick Ashong Experience" - it's amazing!! He was "discovered" during the last presidential campaign when a journalist thought he had caught an uninformed apathetic/ignorant young voter  and completely unaware of the details of the issues let alone the issues themselves who was just voting for Obama because he was Black. Suffice it to say Derrick SHINED (watch here) and proved to the pundits that we the youth know what time it is! That video was the beginning and an addition to many of the wonderful opportunities he's gotten ever since. 

Anyway, i love love love this quote from David Walker, former comptroller general, which basically sums up one of the messes this countryr currently finds itself in: 

"1. Spending money we don’t have is irresponsible

2. Spending other people’s money irresponsibly is unethical

3. Spending irresponsibly somebody else’s money when that person is too young to vote or not born yet is immoral.

- The federal government is doing all three. "
